Jenny and John celebrated their love with a late spring multicultural wedding that honored Jenny’s Chinese heritage with a romantic ceremony and reception set with pops of red, blue chinoiserie, and soft greenery.
On the big day, Jenny was dressed in a fitted, embroidered lace gown with a classic updo and bouquet of red, white, and blue flowers. John rocked a deep blue suit and tie that matched the blue chinoiserie vases throughout their wedding decor.
As their riverfront ceremony began, John was escorted to the front of the aislet by their lovable dog, who wore a floral collar.
Once Jenny and John exchanged their vows with Nashville’s skyline in the background, guests found their way to a cocktail hour to sip on chardonnay as the couple took more photos just before sunset.
Planned by Sweetwater Events, the reception was set in our Cumberland space with soft, cascading greenery from the beams, chiavari chairs, and white linens. Jenny’s Chinese culture was celebrated through pops of red roses in the floral arrangements, gold bead-lined chargers, blue chinoiserie, personalized chopsticks, and custom, deep red welcome cards with gold details.
At the reception, guests selected a plated dinner of filet mignon with garlic parmesan mashed potatoes and broccolini, miso glazed Pacific cod with bok choy and citrus bamboo scented rice, or rigatoni primavera.
Johnny and John kicked off the night of fun with a sweet first dance to the wedding version of “Another” by Adam Doleac.
