Last spring set the perfect stage for Carissa and Jarrod's unforgettable wedding at our downtown Nashville venue.
This pair first met on the 4th of July in 2019 while watching the fireworks at their shared apartment complex. It wasn’t until two months later that they began dating, and when it came time to pop the question, Jarrod knew just what to do.
Carissa and Jarrod went on a family trip to Aruba with her parents, brother, sister-in-law, and best friend. During some time away on a private catamaran, he got down on one knee and asked for forever with a sunset view. What a dream!
The couple's celebration unfolded in a symphony of elegance and modern charm, showcasing the versatility of our unique spaces. Carissa and Jarrod wanted an indoor-outdoor concept with a lot of natural light.
“Once I toured the Bridge Building, I knew where I would have the ceremony and how beautiful everything would be,” Carissa shared. “The proximity to the hotels was also a priority for me. It was perfect for us.”
The ceremony space on our rooftop observatory was set with cascading white drapery surrounded by lush greenery arrangements and soft purple florals. This design provided a dreamy backdrop for Carissa and Jarrod's vows that perfectly captured the essence of spring.
Looking back on the wedding day, Carissa shared that her ceremony was the most memorable moment. “It was beautiful,” she said. “The colors. The sunlight. I felt like a princess and everything felt so magical.” And we couldn’t agree more.
As the sun dipped below the horizon, guests enjoyed a captivating cocktail hour on the riverfront patio overlooking Downtown Nashville’s skyline. Lounge furniture and life-size games, including Jenga and Connect Four, created an intimate and relaxed atmosphere, allowing everyone to savor the magic of the moment while overlooking the scenic beauty of the river.
Guests then grabbed a glass of champagne and made their way into the Cumberland Space, which was transformed into a floral wonderland with spring blooms and greenery artfully arranged to complement each table setting, vibrant lavender purple linens and white taper candles, as well as an off-white dance floor in the center of the room.
Carissa and Jarrod went with a plated dinner service prepared by our in-house chef of bourbon glazed salmon and a red wine demi-glazed filet mignon with grilled asparagus, parmesan risotto, brown sugar glazed carrots and snap peas, and a truffle pomme puree. Yum!
To complete the night, Carissa and Jarrod surprised their guests with a fireworks show in honor of the first time they ever locked eyes.
This wedding design was a testament to the harmonious blend of nature, modernity, and romance. It was a day filled with laughter, love, and many cherished memories, and we are so glad The Bridge Building got to be a part of their special day!
